The playground refurbishment at Kids Academy Point Cook (Saratoga) delivered a major upgrade to the centre’s outdoor learning environment over a three-week program. LeadBuilt enhanced the existing playground with new play elements, upgraded surfacing and improved shade, creating a safer, more functional and low maintenance space.

Key Project Highlights:
Premium Synthetic Turf and Soft Fall Surfacing
Premium 35mm synthetic turf was installed across key play areas over a prepared base, with an integrated soft fall system to meet critical fall height requirements and provide a safe, durable surface.
Custom Timber Play Fort Installation
A new timber play fort was installed featuring multiple platforms, a connecting bridge, climbing elements and a double slide, supporting physical development and imaginative play.
New Shade Sail and Additional Shade Coverage
A new shade sail was installed to provide sun protection over active play areas, complemented by additional shade sail mesh along boundary fencing to improve the centre’s privacy and security.
Sandpit Upgrades and Integrated Seating
Sandpits were upgraded with new sandstone edging, custom merbau-lined seating and integrated storage boxes to create a practical and durable play feature.
A Safer and More Durable Outdoor Learning Environment
Play areas were reconfigured and prepared to support new installations, ensuring long-term durability, drainage performance and compliance with safety requirements.
